双田村是富岭镇的行政村，村驻双田。村名由旧称桑园演变而来：村中旧时多种桑树，方言里「桑」与「双」音近，遂改用「双」字。1958年，由两个旧村名各取一字，合称今名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代属大石里，民国属高泉乡，此后先后隶属富岭乡、双田乡。1958年为富岭公社的双田大队，1961年仍属富岭公社，1984年改为今名。[1]

2020年12月，村里入选2020年度福建省「一村一品」示范村（百香果）名单，同月入选2020年福建省森林村庄名单。2021年11月，获福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年10月，村子被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2023年2月，入选福建省第三批高级版「绿盈乡村」名单。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域下辖15个自然村，编为18个村民小组。岩顶山在村北，形状像纱帽，故又称纱帽山；山顶为赛马坪，相传杨五郎曾在此攻寨。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

明代葛寅亮曾在岩顶山隐居。[2]

人口民族[edit]

2012年，村内有710户农家，人口2569人，其中600人外出。[1]
