新源村位于岚下乡西部，东邻百益村，西与南两面与建西镇相连，北边与洋墩乡蔡坑村为邻，离镇区约13公里。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村落属山地丘陵地区，山岭耸峙，丘陵起伏，河谷与小盆地错落其间，水系发达，属亚热带季风气候。耕地3148亩，林地23000亩，毛竹林占12000亩。[2]

村内有至建西镇的水泥路，洋大线公路也从村庄穿过。[2]

村内设13个村民小组，共737户，2998人；男性1935人，女性1063人。[2]

经济[edit]

村民经济以农业种植和竹木加工为主，村民收入主要来自粮食和毛竹。近年来村内发展烤烟种植，设有多个农民合作社，并有竹木加工企业与食用菌生产企业。[2]
