上社村位于崇雒乡东部，距建阳城区约36公里，离乡政府约5公里，是崇雒乡下辖的行政村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

此地旧属三衢里，原称新义社。村子曾分为上、下两社，后两村相连，合称上社。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1923年时属五区后畲乡的上社保。1952年另设上社乡，1958年归将口公社并成为上社大队；1961年改属崇雒公社的上社大队，1984年起称上社村村民委员会，地名沿用至今。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村内下辖3个自然村，设7个村民小组，耕地2544亩。2006年有342户、1278人，2010年有1335人，据博雅地名网的概况页。[2]
