水吉镇是福建省南平市建阳区下辖的镇，地处建阳区东部，位于南浦溪中游。[4]按建阳区人民政府2026年5月公布的行政区划，全镇设水吉、玉瑶2个社区和28个行政村。[6]镇域内的建窑遗址是全国重点文物保护单位，遗址的一部分在武夷山市星村镇。[5][7]

地名由来[edit]

隋代以前，此处原是河道，称吉溪，后因水流冲积，河道向西改移，渐成陆地，形成乡里。当地为避“积”字所含的水患之意，改用谐音“吉”字，故称水吉。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

东汉建安初年（196年）设建安县，水吉属其辖。[3]北宋治平三年（1066年），此地划归瓯宁县的禾供里。[3]1940年10月置水吉县。[3]1956年水吉县被撤销，此地并入建阳县，分设水吉镇与郑墩区。[3]1958年改为水吉公社。1966年间称红卫公社，此名到1968年便改回水吉公社。1984年9月，公社改为水吉镇。[3][4]

地理环境[edit]

水吉镇处在南浦溪中游，205国道过境。[2]镇中心区即水吉社区所在。[8]

经济[edit]

镇内有农机、化工、陶瓷等行业的乡镇企业，木竹制品与造纸也有生产。[2]农业以水稻为主，此外出产莲子、芝麻、苎麻、泽泻与茶叶。[2]2021年12月，水吉镇获南平市评定为「平安农机」示范乡镇（2021年度）。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

建窑遗址横跨水吉镇与武夷山市星村镇，2001年6月公布为第五批全国重点文物保护单位。[7]水吉一侧的地点有牛皮仑、芦花坪、营长墘、源头坑、大路后门山和庵尾山。[1]

镇内另有三处县级文物保护单位：隐峰寺建于清代，大觉寺为明清建筑，普照塔与联升塔建于明代。[1]
