新坪村是麻沙镇下辖的行政村，与长坪村相连，建村于1962年[1][2]。村名的来历是村民为古田迁来的移民，在长坪定居后新建此村[2]。

移民与建村[edit]

新坪村村民全部来自福建省古田县。当年古田建电站，县城所在地被列为水淹区，1962年，一位当地干部带领75户377人迁居建阳，在新坪定居[2]。

概况[edit]

全村辖3个自然村、5个村民小组，计137户、561人[2]。省道江星公路与县道麻沙至黄坑公路在村内交叉[2]。

物产[edit]

1986年起，村民陆续培育白木耳和袋栽香菇，产业随年份扩大，目前是麻沙镇食用菌第一村[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

1962年，村属长坪公社；1965年转入麻沙公社，设为新坪大队；1984年改设新坪村村民委员会[2]。

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把新坪村列入「2021年福建省卫生村」名单[2]。
