赤坑村隶属延平区塔前镇，以果蔬种植为主。村名来自村中小溪的沙子含铁较多、颜色发红。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368）此地隶云盖里，清顺治十四年（1657）未作变动。1936年改属第一区，1941年隶第一区鸠洋乡的赤坑保。1950年归第四区赤坑乡，1952年改属第十区，仍称赤坑乡；1956年划入夏道区，1958年归东方红（夏道）公社。1961年改归土堡公社，1984年设土堡乡，1989年隶塔前乡，1993年改属塔前镇。[1]

产业与荣誉[edit]

村民种植栗子、橘子、枇杷、香菇、蔬菜等。村中打造了「赤坑桔柚」「福瑞蔬菜」等商标，并依托农产品分拣中心提高农产品附加值。[1][2]

本村名列2020年度福建省「一村一品」示范村（蔬菜类）名单，公布于当年12月。[1]
