湖尾村位于闽江上游的建溪河畔，属大横镇。村子背山面水，村旁的湖星岛有一片沙滩。[1][2]

村里有湖尾彭德怀纪念公园，与埂埕革命烈士纪念碑同为镇内的红色地标。[3]

产业与企业[edit]

1997年，三红电缆有限公司与村里结成共建关系；同期，康丽达制衣和山水美地竹木两家企业也落户本村。[2][4]

民俗[edit]

每年正月十五，村里举办湖尾村民俗文化节，远近村民都来参加。[2]
