吉溪村位于南山镇西南部，面积为2.1889万亩，共387户、1596人，下辖3个自然村。村名来自溪流，曾名桔溪。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

此村原在迁乔里境内，村委会驻吉溪，村名以溪名，曾名桔溪，后改今名。1941年属第一区南山乡吉溪保，1958年称吉溪大队，1984年改为吉溪村村民委员会，1992年改属南山镇。[1][2]

1945年，此地设立吉溪据点，后来成为南古瓯根据地的地下航线终点站。1987年，吉溪村被福建省评定为老区基点村。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的地下航线纪念碑，即中共闽浙赣省委闽江地下航线纪念碑，属县级文物保护单位，博雅地名网如此记载。[1]

村中还有清代的吉溪凉亭岭古道与小溪窑址。[3]
