南洲村位于西芹镇驻地南偏东约8.2千米，京福高速公路穿村而过。村内辖南洲、榜本2个自然村，1984年改为今名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武元年（1368年）属大外里，清代仍之。民国时期属洋洲乡，称南洲保。1958年划入火车头（西芹）人民公社，1961年另设南州公社，1963年复归西芹公社，1984年改为今名。[3][2]

地名由来[edit]

村处沙洲东南方，故得此名。[4]

文化[edit]

南洲小学1950年创办，学校校舍中的教学楼建于1982年。农历每月初一、初六为赶墟日，四邻八乡的人来村中交易农产品。[2]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月将南洲村列为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，村入选「2022年度南平市“绿盈乡村”中级版村庄」名单。[1]
