新岭村位于樟湖镇东南约2公里处，是水口电站库区的第一期搬迁村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网释村名：“新”指刚有，“岭”指山岭。[1]

1989年10月，村民从原址搬迁，在原村西约1500米处复建新村。[1]

明初（1368年）该地属南平县垂裕乡长安南里。1934年为第三区樟湖镇的一部分，1941年改归新溪乡下的新岭保，1950年设新岭乡，1958年称新岭大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]

2021年12月，新岭村被认定为「2021年度南平市绿盈乡村中级版村庄」。[1]
