龙池村是樟湖镇辖下的行政村，与尤溪口镇毗邻交界。村名取自村后山脉形似龙的地形。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，村名因所在地后山的山脉形似龙而得。[1]

此地在明初（1368年）归南平县垂裕乡管辖，列为长安南里。1934年成为第三区樟湖镇下的龙池保；此后于1956年划入樟湖区，1958年称龙池大队，1984年才改设龙池村委会。[1]

2020年11月，村庄上榜2020年度南平市「绿盈乡村」中级版村庄名单；同年之后的2021年11月，龙池村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
