塔下村位于南平市城郊，在建溪与闽江交汇处的东岸，工业路两侧，交通便利。村名取自鲤鱼山东侧的塔下。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，村地属崇福里，1941年属圣安乡。1950年至1957年，此地属第一区，称塔下乡；1958年并入红旗公社，次年改属东坑公社，称塔下大队。[1]

1984年东坑公社改为东坑乡，大队改为塔下村村民委员会；1993年东坑乡撤销，村民委员会划归水东街道。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的双石塔东塔为明代所建，2012年名录把它列为区级文物保护单位。[4][5]
