东溪社区位于水东街道马站一带，沿东溪路展开，属城乡结合部，是一个纯居民社区。社区名称取自其在建溪（东溪）河畔的位置。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

文化大革命期间，社区一度改称卫东居委会。1981年恢复东溪居民委员会的名称；2002年改为东溪社区居民委员会。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区内有超市、农贸市场、学校、幼儿园、影剧院和医疗卫生服务所，3、4、5、9路公交车直达市区。[1]
