五里亭社区位于延平区黄墩街道辖区内，属主城区。据《1993年南平市志·地名志》所载，社区得名于距市区五华里的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1982年5月设立五里亭居民委员会，2002年改称五里亭社区居民委员会，仍归黄墩街道管辖。[1]
