地名由来[edit]
旧时一条水圳在上游分作两叉，分别称上路圳和下路圳，村名由下路圳而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
下路一带1943年设保，归坪治乡管辖。新中国成立后并入五岳乡；1958年隶属五岳大队，1961年拆分出来成为下路大队，此后改为下路村委会。[1]
