坝头村是秀峰乡的行政村，位于闽粤两省交界处，村址在芦溪河的中游段。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村址所在的河段地势平缓，形成一片溪坝，后来有人在此定居，因而称大坝头。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1939年隶属九象乡；1950年与龙岭并为龙坝乡；1957年改由坪洄乡管辖；1958年于长乐公社内设坝头大队；1984年起改设坝头村委会，1993年定为秀峰乡的坝头村。[1][2]

村民以种植蜜柚和经营林木为主。[1]
