长乐乡在福建省漳州市平和县西部，地处闽粤两省交界处，与广东省大埔县、龙岩市永定县相邻，离平和县城约64公里。[1][4]

乡内居民以客家人为主，通行客家话。博雅地名网称它是平和县唯一的纯客家乡镇。1928年3月，平和暴动在这里发生，此后中共平和县委也在乡内建立。[2][6][4][5]

历史沿革[edit]

乡名原为长富。1958年公社化时，人民公社社址设在长富村的长崃楼；「崃」与「乐」在客家话里读音相近，于是改称长乐。[1][6]

1939年此地称维新乡，1950年此地归平和县第八区管辖，1954年更名为长乐区，1956年划归九峰区。1958年，在联三村设立长乐人民公社。1972年驻地迁往秀峰村，1984年起以长乐乡人民政府之名沿用。1993年分出秀峰乡，驻地于是迁回联三村，沿用至今。[1]

1928年3月8日，中共平和县委领导农民武装发动暴动，队伍分三路攻入平和县城，当日遭敌军反扑后退回长乐，转入山区建立根据地。这次暴动被视为福建农民自行夺取政权的开端，并催生了福建省最早的工农武装。[5]

地理环境[edit]

全境面积59.997平方千米，其中山地面积据县政府网站2021年的数字为4568公顷。境内崇山峻岭，被列为扶贫开发工作的重点乡镇。[3][4]

芦溪溪与崎岭溪两条溪流自东北向西南穿过乡境，最后注入韩江。[2]

人口民族[edit]

乡政府所在地离广东省大埔县大东镇的白土村约3公里，两地同属客家地区。[6]

居民的姓氏以罗、杨、林、陈为主。维基百科称，罗姓宗族估计派下有7000多人，其祖先自广东大埔迁来。[2][6]

经济[edit]

乡内种植的主要作物有蜜柚、板栗、脆桃和白芽奇兰茶，县政府网站称这些果茶基地已成为农民增收的主要途径之一。[4]

文化[edit]

2018年7月，长乐客家山歌被列入「漳州市第七批市级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录」。[2]

「福建省卫生乡镇」的称号于2020年12月授予长乐乡，由福建省爱卫办确定；长乐乡又于2022年12月获「2022年福建省森林城镇」称号。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

平和暴动纪念馆位于联三村下坪一带，建于1978年，是为纪念暴动五十周年而在当年暴动总指挥部旧址上建成的，馆内设朱积垒雕像。据百度百科，该馆为省级文物保护单位。[5]

《平和县革命遗址概览》收入的乡境红色遗址有53多处，罗明办公旧址与南委电台都在其列。[2]

著名人物[edit]

陈彩芹（1902年—1931年），生于乐北村，1926年投身革命，1928年参与领导平和暴动，1929年4月接任中共平和县委书记，1931年3月牺牲。[1][7]
