历史沿革[edit]

村名取自合作化时期「新光」高级社的名称。[1]

战前村地属大溪镇林坑保，1950年划入第九区林坑乡。1958年并入大溪公社，初称林坑大队，后改为林坑村委会；1985年2月分出，另设新光村委会。[1]
