赤坑村是福建省漳州市南靖县船场镇下辖的行政村，位于镇西北部，村民委员会设在赤坑尾组，距镇政府约13公里，全村平均海拔约450米。村子原名碧溪村，后改称赤坑村。[1][2]

地理与人口[edit]

村子东临星光村，西与龙水村及书洋镇的奎坑村、罗坑村交界，北连奎洋镇，南与下岭村、高联村相邻。村中设13个村民组，计325户、1285人。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村子沿坑边蛇形而建，土质呈赤色，故名。[1]

建筑与资源[edit]

村落分散，村中有两座特大圆土楼与一座方土楼。园地1500亩，山地约24000亩，耕地则有1600亩。村内有三座水电站，主产绿竹、茶叶、蜜柚与柑桔。[2]

沿革[edit]

早先属奎洋乡的赤奎保。解放后归南靖县第七区，其时曾与冷水乡合成赤水乡。合作化时组建村中高级社。1958年公社化后设赤坑耕作区，1961年改称赤坑（碧溪）大队，1984年改乡时定名赤坑村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年6月，赤坑村入选福建省第四批省级传统村落名单。[1]
