梅林村属南靖县梅林镇，城乡分类上属镇乡结合区。镇名由村中多植梅树而来，镇址亦设于本村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

元代，魏征第十八世孙魏弥携家眷自宁化县石壁溪南迁，长子魏进兴落户梅林，魏氏族人遂在此聚居。[1]

民国年间归梅曲乡东梅保管理；新中国成立后划为梅林乡，人民公社时期称梅林大队。1971年曾并入梅垄大队，1980年又恢复梅林大队之名，1984年起设村委会。[1]

文物[edit]

村中有梅林天后宫和梅林翠玉轩两处文物。梅林翠玉轩为清乾隆年间梅林魏氏兴办的社学私塾，2018年公布为第九批福建省省级文物保护单位。[3][4]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2017年8月，列入「福建省第二批省级传统村落」名录。[1]
  • 2019年6月，列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[1]
  • 2020年12月，入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]
  • 2022年12月，经福建省爱国卫生运动委员会认定，列为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
  • 2024年9月，获评「漳州市2024年度市级一村一品专业村」，产品为玉米。[1]
