梅林镇位于漳州市南靖县西部，与云水谣景区、河坑景区相邻，全镇面积83平方千米。[1]

镇址梅林村一带多植梅树，镇名由此而来。镇内土楼众多，约有900多座，其中和贵楼、怀远楼为国家级文物保护单位，梅林天后宫、科岭革命旧址也是较重要的文化遗存。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，梅林归居仁里管辖，长教则属永丰里。民国初年，两地先后隶属三团区和长教区，至1935年并入第三区；此后经历梅江乡、书教乡等建制的变动。[4]

中华人民共和国成立后初属第五区。1958年2月分设长教、梅林两乡，同年9月合并为跃进人民公社；1959年11月，该社改称梅林人民公社。1984年改为梅林乡，其后撤乡建镇。[3][4]

历史上，本地出过3名进士和22名举人。[3]

地理环境[edit]

该镇气候为南亚热带季风型，年均气温约18.5至19℃，年降雨量1500至1600毫米，年日照约1500小时，海拔介于380至1100米之间。[3]

三团溪自南而北流入书教溪，境内有山长公路穿过。据南靖县人民政府网站，全镇森林覆盖率为85%。[1][3]

人口与侨务[edit]

据南靖县人民政府网站，全镇户籍人口6179人，旅外侨胞8800多人，是漳州市的侨乡之一。[1]

经济[edit]

农业上，中药材、茶花和蔬菜是主要的种植门类，分别以双溪村、科岭村、背岭村和梅林村为种植中心。[1]

当地还种有茶叶，经济作物中另有烟叶、蜜柚、柿子与青梅。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

云水谣古镇位于璞山村一带，是国家5A级旅游景区，并被列为「中国历史文化名村」。古镇原名长教，因电影《云水谣》在此拍摄，得名云水谣。[5][11][13]

2008年5月起，云水谣古镇作为长教古村落展示点，归属漳州一个生态文化保护区，同年开始对外开放；2009年，古村入选第二批「中国景观村落」。[12]

古镇内一条沿长教溪而建的古道长约10公里，两端连接和贵楼与怀远楼。[5]

和贵楼在璞山村，始建者为简次屏，年代为清雍正十年（1732年），别名山脚楼，是闽西南方形土楼的代表之一。楼高五层、21.5米，内有140个房间。[3][5][6]

怀远楼位于坎下村东部，1905年（清光绪三十一年）动工，1909年（宣统元年）建成，为双环圆形土楼，直径38米，高四层，共136间。省级文物保护单位身份始于2001年，全国重点文物保护单位认定于2006年；2008年，它随福建土楼一并列入世界遗产名录。[5][7][9]

梅林天后宫坐落于梅林村，临梅溪北岸，其始建时代为明崇祯年间，清康熙十年（1671年）又经扩建。前殿供关帝，后殿楼上供妈祖。2009年，省人民政府将其列为省级文物保护单位（第七批）。[5][8][14]

科岭革命旧址位于科岭村，年代为1930年至1979年，包括翻身楼与烈士陵园两部分。翻身楼原为清代的永隆楼，1936年底遭焚毁，1951年由福建省人民政府拨款重建；陵园的纪念碑和纪念亭分别建于1953年与1979年。科岭景区在漳州市内最早获得国家3A级红色旅游景区称号。[1][5]

梅林翠玉轩位于梅林村，建于清乾隆年间（1736至1795年），原为梅林魏氏兴办的社学私塾，建筑面积320平方米。2018年公布为第九批福建省省级文物保护单位。[5]

  • 2012年12月，梅林镇获「2010—2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号，由环境保护部颁授。[2]
  • 2019年1月起，梅林镇位列「第七批中国历史文化名镇」。[2]
  • 2021年2月，梅林镇上榜「福建省2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」。[2]
  • 2022年12月，梅林镇被认定为「2022年福建省卫生乡镇」，认定机构为省爱国卫生运动委员会。[2]
  • 2023年10月，梅林镇入选「2023年福建省全域生态旅游小镇」名单。[2]
