宫前村是东山县陈城镇下辖的行政村，位于东山岛最南端，旧称平海，是东山岛主要的渔村之一。村域面积5.12平方公里，全村4100人，合889户。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

明崇祯年间，漳浦、诏安、云霄、惠安等地的十八姓渔民陆续迁来定居，村落建在妈祖宫前，村名由此而来。民国初年此地属诏安县五都的乡保；1955年村中组建合作社，1956年设大队，1987年改设为村。[1]

村前的弧形海湾称宫前湾，古称平海澳，历来是东山通往台湾及各地的港口。明崇祯七年（1634年），东山岛军民在此击退荷兰人，并焚毁其战舰；明末郑成功在东山招兵期间，于此湾操练水军，并督造船只。[1]

施琅自宫前湾出兵统一台湾，时在农历六月十四日，即康熙二十二年（1683年）。宫前天后宫的妈祖因助战有功，施琅奏请康熙帝将妈祖由「天妃」升为「天后」。[1]

抗日战争期间，日军入侵宫前一带，东山军民多次奋起抗击，并在宫前海湾击沉一艘日舰。[1]

文化古迹[edit]

村内的东山天后宫，建于明崇祯年间，因位于妈祖宫前而得名。宫内现存康熙年间的碑文，记述了施琅在收复台湾之前于此练兵的事迹。[2]

经济[edit]

村内设有国家一级渔港，东山县人民政府将其与澳角并列为镇内两个国家一级渔港。[3]

村域浅海滩涂约6000亩。村中已形成从捕捞、养殖到加工与贸易的渔业链条，并建有小学教学楼，架设了水电线路与村内道路。[1][2]
