港口村是东山县陈城镇下辖的行政村，位于东山岛西南端，是一个农、林、盐、养殖并重的村庄。全村505户2057人。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村落古称碧浦。邻近的海湾可供船只避风，旧称碧海沃，村名即由此而来。明代嘉靖年间，官军曾在此设伏，全歼入侵的葡萄牙人。[1]

明洪武二十年（1387年），诏安县的盐场官府在此设立税课，盐业随之渐成规模。因盐场官府设于此地，商船汇集，这里也成为海盗袭击的目标；嘉靖年间海盗曾在此登陆劫掠，不久即被官兵剿灭。[1]

民国时期隶属东南乡港口保。解放后历经初级社、高级社与人民公社，公社化阶段设为陈城公社港口大队；1984年公社改乡时，港口大队改称港口村。[1]

姓氏与宗祠[edit]

明中期以前，这里是多姓聚居的地方。1423年，吴姓一世祖吴益宗迁居此地开基，此后吴姓人口繁衍，其他姓氏逐渐外迁，现村中以吴姓居多。[1]

村中有吴姓始祖祠《孝思堂》，一世祖至四世五房祖均入祠供奉。[1]

经济[edit]

改革开放后实行土地承包责任制，村内经济发展，村民生活水平提高。村中建有小学教学楼，并已接通自来水、电与闭路电视。[1]
