湖尾村是樟塘镇下辖的行政村，南临大海，即金銮湾所在，距西埔镇约1公里。全村由留田、顶山前、下山前、湖尾四个自然村组成。[1][2][3]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村址原在湖边水尾处，早先叫作和美村；后来因村庄的地理形势，改名为湖尾。[1]

清代此地为诏安县五都五图南埭保的湖尾村，民国时划归东山县复兴镇。建国后归二区湖南乡，1959年成为康美人民公社的湖尾生产大队，1961年改隶樟塘公社，设湖尾大队。1984年6月改称樟塘乡湖尾村，1993年成为樟塘镇湖尾村。[1]

人文[edit]

村人的根源被认为属颖川陈氏，其祖祠在河南开封府和美村，先人明代迁居东山湖尾，此后约有五百年的历史。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，湖尾村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；同年12月，获「2021年度福建省森林村庄」称号。2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将其认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2023年9月，湖尾村列为「漳州市2023年度市级一村一品专业村（乡村旅游）」。2025年3月，入选「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」；同年11月，又被确定为「福建省2025年度省级一村一品专业村（乡村旅游）」。[1]

县政府网站记载，湖尾村获「福建省乡村旅游特色村」称号，2015年又成为全县唯一的省级美丽乡村示范村。[3]
