西埔村位于镇中部，是东山县城的组成部分，也是西埔镇政府驻地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明初这里已有社稷遗址，属漳浦县五都。1698年（康熙二十七年）开设西埔墟，以农历三、六、九日为集期。[1]

1956年县级机关迁入，1958年设西埔大队，1984年改称西埔村。[1][2]

概况[edit]

据博雅地名网，村有1019户、总人口3624人，村财收入主要来自店面和场地租金，村民多经商或务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把本村定为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
