上洋村位于秀篆镇境内，地处山区，离镇区约18公里，是镇内较为偏远的行政村。[1]

村名的来历是：村子坐落在高山间一处小盆地里，那里有三百多亩连片的田，当地人称之为「田洋」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地在1956年之前隶属平和县九峰镇，之后并入诏安县秀篆一带的乡村体系，先后归堀龙乡、埔坪公社管辖。[1]

1958年划入和平人民公社堀龙管理区，1961年转归埔坪人民公社，1964年改由秀篆公社管辖。1984年起为秀篆乡的村，1992年起为秀篆镇的村。[1]

产业[edit]

村民以种茶和种植地瓜为主要生计，地瓜还被加工成地瓜粉；所产茶叶以白芽奇兰为主。外出务工的村民也为数不少。[1]
