梅岭镇隶属福建省漳州市诏安县，位于县境东南部，三面临海。镇域东与东山县隔一水相望，西面紧邻宫口港，南边隔海与广东省南澳县相望。镇政府驻林厝村，全镇下辖15个行政村。[1][2]

镇名取自境内的梅岭山。镇内海岸线长，浅海与滩涂面积广，渔业是主要生计，赤石湾、田厝等地设有渔港。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

清朝时此地仍沿用原有建制，直到1907年（光绪三十三年）才以第四都梅岭区的名目出现。1945年，民国撤区，在此设立乡镇，隶属梅中乡。[1]

中华人民共和国成立后，这里先后归第一区、第三区管辖，此后几度并入相邻的桥东区与四都区。1958年分设下河、宫口二乡，同年并入东方红人民公社。1961年自桥东公社分出，另设下河公社；1964年又并回桥东公社。1978年再度分出，重设下河公社；1982年8月经省府批准定名梅岭公社，1984年10月改设梅岭乡，1991年10月才成为梅岭镇。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

全镇海岸线约22公里，沿海有浅海和滩涂约12.5万亩。镇域多为沿海平原，村落大多面海而建。[3][4]

梅岭镇是诏安县的渔区，海岸线曲折，宫口港在西侧入海。[3][4]

人口[edit]

据2008年的户籍统计，全镇有7151户、31305人。维基百科称，2020年全镇常住人口为34456人。[2]

经济[edit]

水产业是镇里的支柱。海上牡蛎吊养与灯围捕捞较为集中，镇内还有对虾育苗、虾池养殖与鲍鱼场，并设有水产加工企业。[3]

渔港分级排列，赤石湾为一级渔港，田厝为二级渔港，峰岐、寮雅为三级渔港。海运可通厦门、汕头和香港。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

悬钟城位于南门村一带的诏安湾西岸，是明代福建沿海的海防千户所城，城周长约1800米。明洪武二十年（1387年），由江夏侯周德兴受命营建。嘉靖四十二年（1563年）城池被倭寇攻陷，隆庆六年（1572年）重修。1661年迁界期间城池遭弃置，1717年（康熙五十六年）得以修复。城内现存明代关帝庙与果老山摩崖石刻群，城外有望洋台等遗址。[6]

南门村果老山上的摩崖石刻为明代遗存，2016年被公布为「诏安县第十六批县级文物保护单位」。宫口天后宫在宫口村，为明代古建筑，2013年列入「诏安县第十四批县级文物保护单位」。南门胜澳天妃宫为清代古建筑，同在2016年公布为县级文物保护单位。东门村悬钟城外东侧的石塔与城墙同为明代遗存，也列入县级文物保护单位。[3]

梅岭镇另有祥麟塔、帝君庙、望洋台、古练兵场等景点，博雅地名网称全镇名胜古迹较多。[4]

荣誉[edit]

博雅地名网记载，全镇在2011年获环境保护部授予国家级生态乡镇称号。省爱卫办在2020年底认定本镇为卫生乡镇。乡村振兴方面，2020年4月公布的「2019年度福建省乡村振兴重点特色乡（镇）」名单中有梅岭。2021年初，梅岭又列入「2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[3]
