城内社区位于南诏镇中心区，因辖区原本处在旧县城内部而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，此地隶属城内镇，编为二保四甲社。解放后设成一街三片，称第二街。[1]

文革期间辖地一分为二，西半部归一街、东半部归三街；事后又合回原先的第二街。1981年改为城内街，2003年成为城内社区。[1]
