历史沿革[edit]

村名来历：清代称下布，解放后改称下楼，故有此名[1]。清代属在场下布保；1940年东英乡设下楼保，1944年东英乡并入绥安镇[1]。

1958年起归城关公社，设下楼大队；1962年3月并入大南坂农场，称下楼村。1999年才建为行政村，2019年7月起改为社区[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

蔡新故居在下楼，原称下布村，现为县级文物保护单位[2]。

荣誉[edit]

下楼社区于2020年12月入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」[1]，于2021年获评「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]，又在2024年6月列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」[1]。
