北江村在霞美镇南部，东边隔旧镇港望见六鳌半岛，北面是董门村，西面与前梧村为邻，南面紧挨后辽村。村内有乡村公路，向北经白石通往上黄，并与省道漳东线相接，向南可通下蔡林场[1]。
名称与沿革[edit]
村民由霞美溪边一处祖祠所在地分出，祖祠位于溪北，村名因此为北江。民国时期此村是霞美乡的北江保；新中国初期划入第四区旧镇区的北江乡。1958年9月设旧镇公社北江管理区北江大队，1961年7月改隶霞美公社。1984年称霞美乡北江村，1990年随乡改镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年6月，入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
渔业与农业[edit]
收入以渔业为主，有近海捕捞和海水、滩涂养殖，养殖种类主要是牡蛎和海带，并吊养太平洋牡蛎。耕地以番薯、花生、豆类和蔬菜为主。[1]
