路边村在杜浔镇北部的丘陵之中，北侧与东侧都以过洋村为界，西边挨着后因村，南边是文卿村。[1]

村中分为11个自然社。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期此地归杜浔镇。建国之初划归第七区的杜浔区，当时称路边乡；1958年9月，路边大队归杜浔公社，即今日的路边村。[2]

地理环境与水利[edit]

源于梁山南麓的杜浔溪流经村中，经土楼、水港二社南流，至杜浔盐场附近，由杜浔港汇入东山湾海域。[1][2]

村中有石陂10座用于拦水灌田，大多数自然社的水利灌溉条件良好。[2]

姓氏源流[edit]

陈姓在东山园、六高尾、后埔、路边、顶学几社中较多；洪姓见于南山，何姓在水港，黄姓在黄金坂。桃仔园现为林姓，山门现为朱姓。[2]

经济与教育[edit]

主要农产品为稻谷、蔬菜和水果。村内有路边小学。[2]
