西埔村位于漳浦县旧镇镇东南部丘陵地带，北面依骆驼山（海拔192米），东面依塔山（海拔222米），东南与狮头村相邻。村内辖西埔、后坑两个自然村，共230户，856人，以黄姓为主。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

西埔村的开基始祖均助公为大房后裔，部分族人从石榴镇刈尾社迁来，与后坑同宗。民国时期此地是狮头保的范围，解放后划入狮头乡；1958年人民公社组建后，此地归旧镇公社狮头大队；1960年冬，西埔与后坑从狮头大队析出，单设西埔大队；至1984年9月才改为村民委员会。[2]
