下径村是云陵工业开发区下辖的行政村，辖下径、大坂墘两个自然村，2006年由莆美镇划归开发区管辖。[1][2]

村子四周环山，处在一块盆地中，人们出入都要翻山越岭，走崎岖的羊肠小道，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，村一带属海峰公社，设下径大队；1961年改归大埔公社，1966年并入莆美公社。[1]

1984年改公社为乡，大队改为村委会。[1]

土地与人口[edit]

全村276户，总人口1176人，共5个村民小组；耕地800亩，山地6000亩。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。福建省农业农村厅在2022年10月作出认定，本村列入「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
