坪岭村的村名由「坪水」与「楼仔岭」两个地名各取一字组合而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

原属阳山乡，建国初改隶第三区的官洋乡。1958年组建生产队，归入海峰公社，后来改属陈岱公社；1962年并入大埔公社。[1]

至1967年，此地转归常山华侨农场，并另设坪岭村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

「2023年福建省卫生村」称号于2024年1月授予坪岭村。[1]
