向北村是福建省漳州市云霄县莆美镇下辖的行政村，位于镇域东北部，与阳下村、佳兜村相邻。早先村民多姓方，村原属阳霞村。因后来人口增多而自立为村，村内住宅多坐南向北，村名由此而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村在1984年改设为村。此前的1961年，它与阳下、佳兜分开，单独设为向北大队；1950年时此地属阳下乡，1958年则是阳下大队的一部分。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植农作物为主，盛产甘蔗和地瓜。村中的家庭作坊有米粉加工和花生榨油，另有一间雨伞厂。[1]
