上洋村是颜厝镇下辖的镇乡结合区村。早先林姓人家在此居住，地名叫作象阳，寓意阳光普照、人丁兴旺。后来长泰洪氏迁来安家，经方言读音转换，地名变为上洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，村地归龙溪县颜潮乡上洋保管辖。1993年起，村委会称龙海市颜厝镇上洋村委会。[1]
