南星社区隶属福建省漳州市芗城区西桥街道，属城乡结合区，由高新区代管。该社区前身为南星村，2020年6月改为社区。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

原九湖人民公社把漳州郊区几个零散的生产社合并，因位于九龙江南岸，取“南星”作为当时生产大队的名称，后改称南星村，村改居后仍沿用该名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这片地方原叫“过桥村”，位置在东新桥南侧。解放后定名南星村，2020年6月3日起改为南星社区居民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，社区入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
