东林村位于洪濑镇之南郊，西临东溪，距南安市区20公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自佳色寨顶东林寺（清水岩）南麓的位置。明朝时，山上已有一座东林寺，以寺名作地名。[1]

此地旧名南安县五都从政乡嘉禾里。民国时作东塘保，解放初叫东林乡；1958年成为东林大队，直至1984年才转为洪濑镇东林村民委员会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

猛虎墓是明代古墓，石砌结构，总面积1925平方米，博雅地名网称其为文物保护单位。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，本村获「2023年福建省卫生村」命名。[1]
