蔡厝村是罗东镇下辖的行政村，在镇政府所在地以西约1.8公里，村落沿东青水库南岸延伸成条带状[2]。早年这里是蔡氏的聚居地，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，这里为罗溪乡的蔡厝保。1949年后划归罗中乡；人民公社时期隶属梅山火箭公社的罗中大队。1962年，蔡厝从该大队中独立出来，建为大队，改隶罗溪公社[2]。

1984年，蔡厝改归罗东乡，成为其下村落；1988年罗东建镇后，它是罗东镇的蔡厝村[2]。
