岐山村位于东田镇政府驻地北部约5.6公里，村委会设在砌头，聚落分布在大埔山南麓的丘陵山谷间，呈条状排列。[1][2]村子原名高山，因与邻社大队同名，改用「岐山」为大队名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这里属蟹坑乡；明清两代归二十九都，民国时则属燕山乡下的高山保，解放初又称高山村。[2]1958年成了高山大队，1981年因与别处重名，改称岐山大队；1984年随东田乡，1991年转属东田镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

高山瓷窑址在岐山村，年代属宋至清，列为泉州市文物保护单位。[3]境内还有多处瓷窑遗址。[2]
