湖山村位于东田镇东南部，早年村中的山岭称湖岭、乡称湖窑，后改名湖山。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧属南安二十九都，宋代属崇顺里，隶金鸡乡。[1]民国时属烟山乡汤井保的辖区；建国后先叫后堀大队，1984年才有东田乡后堀村委会的设置，1991年转属东田镇。[1]2005年改名湖山，成为今名。[1]

文化[edit]

2001至2007年间，南安市委、市政府把文明村的称号授予本村。[2]2006至2007年，本村在省里成为生态能源型新农村的示范试点。[2]
