古厝村位于永和镇西北部，处在镇区之内，社马公路从村子西部穿过[1]。村子原先叫许舍，1935年改称古厝[2]。

地理与人口[edit]

村子北边与力争村相邻，西边与晋江经济技术开发区接壤，南边与马坪村交界，东边与玉溪村、永和村为邻[1]。全村只有1个自然村，分为8个村民小组，共682户[1]。

2021年村情汇总表记载，村内总人口2578人，常住人口2348人，60岁及以上409人。外出流动人口230人，主要去往菲律宾和省外，从事经商和务工[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子旧称许舍或许厝。明初，陈氏先祖迁居到此，后来因族人失散，由外甥许源浚接续宗支，所以村中长期有陈、许两姓的说法[2]。1935年重修族谱时，为避免与他乡同名，改称「古厝」[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

村前一块巨石的东南面刻有清代的「奉旨迁界」崖刻，四个字分两行竖刻，2013年2月5日列入晋江市级文物保护单位（第三批）[3][4]。
