埭头村位于龙湖镇东南侧，东濒深沪湾，北隔阳溪与对岸相望，下辖1个自然村。[1][2][3]

村名来自当地先民筑埭围海造田的做法，古称岱阳。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

此地古为阳溪入海处的冲积地，早先钟、王等姓聚居，称岱阳，意为居岱山之阳。[3]

后来有人在此筑埭造田，又有吴氏迁来开居，村名因此称为埭头。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属安仁乡弦歌里，明清时属十七、十八都；1944年改属至善乡中正保。[2]

1956年划入湖北乡，1961年归龙湖公社管辖，1984年设龙湖乡村委会，1991年改隶龙湖镇。[2]

人口民族[edit]

龙湖镇政府2021年公布的行政村信息载，村里常住954人；外来人口550人；党员40名。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以纺织拉链和服装为主，多为小微型企业，没有规模以上企业。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，埭头村被认定为2020年泉州市中级版「绿盈乡村」；2024年1月，被命名为2023年福建省卫生村。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

岱阳宗祠始建于明代，1993年重修。[3]

立于明崇祯二年（1629年）的“晋邑姚父母爱民仁德碑”现存于村中阳溪畔，碑文记载县令丈量田地、确定经界之事。[3]
