东石镇是福建省泉州市晋江市下辖的镇，位于晋江市东南沿海，北与安海镇相接，南面隔海与金门岛相望，西侧濒临龙江。[1]

全镇辖区面积65平方千米，辖5个社区、29个行政村，共有56个自然村。[1][2]

全镇登记在册的文物保护单位共16处：国家级1处，省级4处，市级11处。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，东晋升平元年（357年）开始称东石，唐宋时期先后称东安乡、舟建乡、仁和里。[3]

1958年设东石公社，1984年10月改设东石镇。[3] 百度百科则写作1985年8月改为东石镇，两种说法不同。[4]

1986年政社分开后，原东石大队下的五个基点各设一个居委会，即如今的第一至第五社区。[5]

地理环境[edit]

镇域海岸线长28公里，背山面水，辖区面积65平方千米。农业耕地约1.65万亩，滩涂2万余亩，另有花岗岩矿区及荒山林地数千亩。[1]

人口与侨乡[edit]

2021年镇情简介所载的「现有人口」为11.14万人；港澳台侨胞合计三十余万，镇域属闽南重点侨乡。[1]

户籍口径下，2019年末的人数为108866人，此数见百度百科。[4]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，镇内工业以纺织、制鞋、制伞、塑料制品为主，另有盐业。农作物有红薯、水稻、大小麦、花生、大豆和甘蔗，海产有花蛤、紫菜和对虾。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

东石寨在镇区西侧，濒临龙江，清初郑成功曾在此安营扎寨、操练水师，清初又由施琅、冯云、黄梧等人分守。寨门建于清康熙十六年（1677年），如今只余石门额。该寨为省级文物保护单位，2009年11月公布。[6][7]

南天禅寺在许西坑村石佛山（岱峰山）南麓，寺内大殿依崖凿有三尊石佛，系南宋嘉定九年（1216年）僧人募刻，寺旁山崖另有摩崖石刻。2015年3月，该处石佛造像和摩崖石刻列入第七批全国重点文物保护单位。[8][9]

古檗山庄位于檗谷村，是华侨黄秀烺在清末民国初年营建的园林式家族陵园，占地约1.7万平方米，2001年列为省级文物保护单位。[6][10]

东石玉记商行建筑群位于第四社区，由东石玉井房蔡氏三兄弟在清嘉庆年间（1796至1820年）创立「玉记商行」，后在东石港附近扩建，现存大厝8座、栈房2座，为省级文物保护单位。[6]

白沙古战场遗址位于白沙村，1655年郑军与清兵在白沙滩头激战，遗址现存白沙城残墙、国姓井与饮马槽。[6][11]

朱文公祠位于第二社区，1991年公布为晋江第二批县级文物保护单位。2026年1月，晋江市人民政府因泉州南翼国家高新区规划涉及其原保护范围，重新划定它作为市级文物保护单位的保护范围。[12]

东石金埔蔡氏宗祠位于第二社区，始建于清初，现存建筑为民国年间重修，列为市级文物保护单位。[13]

珠泽蔡氏宗祠位于第三社区，为市级文物保护单位。[14]

非物质文化遗产[edit]

潘山庙宇木雕列入第五批国家级非物质文化遗产，木雕也是潘山村的主要产业。[1][15][2]

闽台东石灯俗以「元宵节（闽台东石灯俗）」之名列入第六批国家级非物质文化遗产。[15]
