高坑村是陈埭镇的行政村，在陈埭镇区的西北方向，离镇区约4公里；村子东侧连着海美与庵上，西侧靠近池店镇赤塘一带。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

南宋时，永宁卫高氏家族迁来开埠，此地遂称高登乡。1958年，水灾后地面坑洼，工作组上报时以高坑为名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属二十九都。南宋时曾称澳后埠，后改为高登乡，此名沿用至1958年，那一年起改为高坑生产大队。民国时期（1944年）属青阳乡金登保。1956年划入池店区池店乡，1959年划入苏厝公社，1961年改由陈埭公社的高坑大队管辖，1984年设陈埭镇高坑村委会。[2]

文教[edit]

1945年，华侨资助、乡绅协助，创办高登私立小学。1960年改称高坑小学，1978年增设初中部。1990年，华侨投资建设高登中学新校区。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年至2022年间，高坑村三次列入淘宝村名单。[1]
