历史沿革[edit]

村名取自所在的坝头山。元朝时，这里属晋江县三十二都[2]。

地理环境[edit]

村落面积约1.5平方千米，村下辖坝头、溪头、曾坑三个自然村。国道324线离村不到0.6公里，泉三高速从村边经过[2]。

人口民族[edit]

村中以柳、黄、周、曾四姓为主，后裔有远迁香港、澳门、台湾和菲律宾的[2][3]。

经济[edit]

村里以水稻、甘薯为主要农作物，龙眼是本村的特产[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

溪头自然村村道旁有民生亭，建于明代，为市级文物保护单位[4]。

文化[edit]

三个自然村各有一座福主庙，供奉地方神祇儒林尊王，香期分别为农历五月二十八（坝头）、十一月初五（溪头）和正月初十（曾坑）[3]。
