灵水社区是灵源街道下辖的社区，也是街道最大的社区，位于街道西南部，泉安公路穿过社区，西面紧邻灵源山景区。[1]

社区是晋江市的侨乡之一，也是中国传统村落灵水古村落所在地。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

宋代，御史吴中复与兄弟吴中纯隐居于灵源山中，山间溪涧之水绕村流过，村因此得名灵水。[1][3]

灵水古称灵水堡，明清时属泉州府五都。[1]

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网，社区面积为5.61平方公里，共1558户、5759人。旅居海外以及港澳台的侨亲达6000多人。[2]

村落与建筑[edit]

社区包括前乡、后乡、田厝、桥内四个自然村，吴姓占九成以上，村中保存有数百栋明清古厝。[2][4]

吴氏家庙在社区内。明洪武十三年（1380年），吴氏始祖懒翁自泉州东门携孙迁居灵水；明嘉靖四十年（1561年），八世吴从宪中进士，改原址茅屋为家庙，后经扩建。1987年重修。[3]

话桑别墅建于民国25年（1936年），中式古大厝与西式别墅并列，建筑图纸在南洋设计，材料由海外运回。[3]

尚书第为明代太子太傅、工部尚书吴淳夫的故居，房间众多，俗称九十九间。[3]

鹰球楼建于1947年，为红砖两层楼，屋顶原有一座鹰球雕塑，因而得名。[3]

灵水老街建于民国十八年至二十年（1929-1931年），为南洋骑楼式建筑，曾是灵水及周边村庄的贸易集散地。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

灵源山海拔305米，唐代称太平山，宋代改称灵源。山上有步云关、望江石、灵泉井等景点。[5][7]

灵源禅寺在灵源山中，为千年古刹。[1]

灵源山崖刻为明代刻石，属市级文物保护单位，位于灵源山上。[6]

荣誉[edit]

2015年10月，社区入选福建省第一批省级传统村落；2016年12月，列入第四批中国传统村落名录。[1]

2021年6月，社区被命名为「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」。[1]
