梧桐社区沿福兴路两侧展开，在晋江市罗山街道内，东边与后林社区毗连，西边与华泰社区、前沿社区接壤。社区面积约1平方千米，下设4个居民小组，2003年由村委会改设为社区居委会。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原称蜈蚣节，因地势形似蜈蚣而得名。清乾隆年间，陈氏先人建桐自漳州迁来定居，村中一棵梧桐树颇为出名，村名遂改为梧桐。[1][2]

一段时期，这里称红心大队。1984年设梧桐村委会，此后在2003年街道设立后改成梧桐社区居委会。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

社区人口为1848人，共487户，分4个居民小组。旅居海外的人口则接近1500人。[2]

社区内的姓氏以陈、蔡为主：陈氏近1720人，蔡氏近140人。[2]

经济[edit]

社区耕地所余不多，仅150多亩。产业以机械配件、鞋类、织造、橡塑工贸和服装纺织为主，居民年平均收入为10000元。[2]

文化[edit]

社区内留存有陈氏祖厝和蔡氏宗祠等历史建筑。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈孙调宅位于社区内，属近现代一般文物点。[4]
