历史沿革[edit]
社区的始祖相传在唐代入闽，定居于青阳山一带，此后族人繁衍，形成村落。[1][2]
宋代属永宁乡永福里，明清时期属二十七、二十八都。1956年属青阳镇，1988年自原村委会析出，单独设立蔡厝村委会。[1]
2003年11月，青阳镇撤销，蔡厝村划归梅岭街道，改为蔡厝社区居委会。[1][2]
著名人物[edit]
宋代的蔡次傅官至太常少师，明代的蔡清任礼部主事，同时也是理学家。[1][3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年6月，社区获评「2020年度晋江市平安村（社区）」（三星级）。[1]
