永宁镇位于福建省泉州市石狮市东南部，地处半岛，东面濒临台湾海峡，南面与深沪湾相望，西北靠宝盖山。[1][2]

镇域历史悠久，南宋时在此设寨，明代设永宁卫，卫城至今保有成片的古街与古厝，镇内也是侨乡。[1][4]

镇内有姑嫂塔、永宁城隍庙等文物古迹，永宁老街获第五届「中国历史文化名街」称号，永宁古卫城为3A级景区。[7][8][1]

历史沿革[edit]

唐代这里称高亭，宋初称凉恩亭，沿海一带又叫水澳，是泉州海外交通的港口，也是海防要地。[1][4]

南宋乾道八年（1172年），为防备海盗，朝廷在此修建水寨，取名永宁寨，寄意永保安宁。[1][4]

明洪武二十年（1387年）设永宁卫、建卫城，卫城统辖五个守御千户所，依次为中左（今厦门）、高浦、金门、福全与崇武。卫城平面如鳌鱼卧滩，因此又称鳌城。[1][3][11]

嘉靖年间（1522年—1566年），倭寇多次进犯，卫城两度失守。[1]

清顺治四年（1647年），清军因追剿郑成功的部将林顺而攻入卫城，乡民死伤众多。[1]

1944年设镇时，永宁属晋江县。[1]

1987年12月，石狮设市，由晋江县的石狮、蚶江、永宁三镇与祥芝乡划出组建，获国务院批准后，永宁镇划归新设的石狮市管辖。[1]

2014年7月，永宁镇被确定为全国重点镇；2016年5月，被认定为「第五批福建省历史文化名镇名村」；2014年9月，获得国家级生态乡镇称号（2012年—2013年度）；2023年10月，入选福建省「全域生态旅游小镇」名单。[5]

地理环境[edit]

镇域三面环海，地势呈半岛形，历来是东南沿海的军事要冲。[1]

镇区距泉州青阳机场约18千米，离福厦高速公路石狮、石狮北两个出口约10千米，交通便利。[1]

镇域的宝盖山位于西北，深沪湾在南面，东南方向隔海与台湾相望。[2][3]

人口民族[edit]

据石狮市人民政府网站（页面时间为2024年4月），镇内有4.7万人口为常住人口，另有1.9万人为外来人口。[1]

旅居海外以及港澳台的永宁籍人士，据石狮市人民政府网站称有5万多人。侨居始于宋末元初，清代战乱与灾害之后，不少人渡海南迁，以菲律宾居多，其余散居新加坡、马来西亚与印度尼西亚等地。[1]

经济[edit]

工业以服装面料、体育用品和食品五金等行业为主，旅游业中以黄金海岸度假村最具分量，农渔业则有滩涂养殖、海产品加工与农业基地。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

姑嫂塔位于宝盖山上，南宋绍兴年间（1131—1162年）始建，塔身以花岗岩石块垒砌，平面八角，共五层，为空心楼阁式，通高22.86米，是全国重点文物保护单位。[7][1]

城隍庙于明洪武二十年（1387年）始建，道光十五年（1835年）扩建，占地2800平方米，建筑面积1407平方米，是省级文物保护单位。[8][6][1]

永宁老街获第五届「中国历史文化名街」称号，永宁古卫城获评3A级景区。[1]

黄金海岸度假区位于镇域海滨，海岸线12公里，占地6000亩，20世纪90年代开始建设，集游览、餐饮、住宿、购物与娱乐于一体，列入福建省十大重点旅游景区。[12][1]

虎岫寺位于宝盖山东麓，寺旁的摩崖石刻年代标注为宋、清、民，为石狮市级文物保护单位。[13][6]

著名人物[edit]

明代大臣黄克缵是梅林村人，曾任刑部、工部、吏部、兵部尚书，民间称他为「黄五部」。[10][1]

李子芳1910年5月生于岑兜村（今子英村），曾在新四军政治部负责组织工作，1942年牺牲，终年32岁。[9][6]

董云阁1908年生，1926年入团，随后转为中共党员，后任中共闽南特委副书记，1932年被捕牺牲，其故居位于永宁第二社区。[6]

明代武进士陈有纲墓位于永宁第一社区，据百度百科，他是石狮的第二位武探花。[1][6][14]
